Matthew Isaiah Euzarraga

Born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He was inspired by his journalism and art teacher to pursue a career in the media field. Upon graduating from high school, he attended The University of Texas at El Paso where he received his Bachelors in Multimedia Journalism with a minor in film studies.

 

During his undergraduate career he attended art school for a semester and interned at Townsquare Media, The Hub of Human innovation and The College of Engineering at UTEP.  Euzarraga also did research in Humanities and contributed to the online digital magazine Borderzine for his senior capstone project.

Since graduating UTEP, Euzárraga has worked in the health care field, and is currently pursuing his Masters of Journalism at The Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism; located in New York.

 

He is a recipient of funds from the News Corporation, Hearst Foundations and the Herald Tribune Scholarship Fund. 

 

During his time in New York he hopes to become a better reporter, and follow his dreams.

 

In the future Euzárraga would like to be a video reporter or

producer focusing on a variety of topics.

 

His interests are in arts and culture, weird science, narratives and food.
