Matthew Isaiah Euzarraga
Is currently a digital reporter at New York’s very own PIX11 News, where he covers breaking news and enterprise stories that happen in the five boroughs.
Before his tenure at PIX11 News, Matthew was a reporter at The New York Daily News, covering crime, politics, and pop culture.
Matthew has been working as a reporter in the New York City area since graduating with his master's in journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. While attending CUNY, he was a Hearst and News Corp. fellow.
Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Matthew attended the University of Texas at El Paso, where he received his Bachelor's in Multimedia Journalism with a minor in film studies. During his undergraduate career, he attended art school for a semester and interned at Townsquare Media, The Hub of Human Innovation, and the College of Engineering at UTEP.
Matt also did research in Humanities and contributed to the online digital magazine Borderzine.
Matthew’s interests are as diverse as his reporting. He is passionate about arts and culture, fascinated by weird science, captivated by narratives, and a foodie.
His broad range of interests keeps his reporting fresh and engaging. Matt believes in fair and balanced reporting and believes journalists should strive to hold people accountable.
